There are very few places that do a great burger until late, serve beer in a boot, and don't bother you if you just want to watch the world go by. Sunrise is one of the good ones. The best, in fact.

Awful. From the nasty crap they have hanging from the ceiling, to the inattentive bartender, I wasn't impressed. The food in between was absolutely disgusting. I came hear after reading Yelp reviews praising the food. I thought, how could I not know this little gem just down the street from me? I wanted to like it, I wanted to have a similar great food experience, and fun that other people were talking about but it just didn't happen. I went here on a Saturday night with two friends for food and drinks. There were a couple of creepy old doods at the bar, and some random couple that had been in a wedding earlier, just met, and were all over themselves on the "dance floor" (there isn't one). They were crashing into tables awkwardly dancing to music, and belligerently telling everyone how they just met, and were made for each other. Which is probably true, the were pretty much equals in the trainwreck department. Nothing was done about their behavior, despite the guy being disgustingly rude and raunchy, to the point of interrupting someone's meal (mine). The bartender was the cook, the waitress and bartender, and despite their only being 7-10 people in the place she was way, way over worked and out of her league. I ordered a damn patty melt and she couldn't even cook that right. Burn the heck out of it despite asking me how I wanted it cooked (I wanted it medium), didn't know it came on texas toast, brought it on a bun, didn't give me any 1000 island dressing, didn't melt the cheese (it wasn't much of a melt at that point) and didn't grill the onions. She also failed to provide silverware, and said "oh, I don't know the menu that well, and I don't cook so well" when I told her of the error. Didn't offer any sort of service, comp, etc. Just offered to make me something else if it was bad. Uhmmm... You just told me you can't cook. I'm not giving you another shot. Here's another one I won't be back to. Why anyone wouldn't walk 2 blocks down to Excalibur is beyond me. Cleaner, better food, better crowd, and better service.

The food here is delicious! Got the nachos and took a chance on the lamb chop special. These chops could rival any in Greektown. I would definitely recommend this place! Also, they serve food until 1:30. New favorite spot!

Beer in a boot. Need I say more? okay, no problem. The burgers are the perfect size, not too big, not too small. I ordered the blue ox burger and I really like that they melted the blue cheese on it. yummm. hand cut fries! The bite of perch fish sandwich I snagged was perfect. My husband said it's now his go-to fish sandwich place. Our waitress was also the cook and she did a great job keeping our beers and bellies full. Please note - CASH ONLY!

If you are looking for a great neighborhood spot this is it. The drinks are strong the food is good and the patrons are always interesting. Ive been here many times and never had a drink or dish I didn't like. I recently enjoyed the Nacho Supreme with my BFF Gigi and let's just say I think I would have arm wrestled her for the last nacho if I had not been so full! Like I said if you are looking for a great spot to spend the night with friends laughing and drinking on a few bucks Sunrise Sunset is your place!

Cash only but they have an ATM! Daily specials are worth a look and they even have some pretty fun special events, even some for kids! Not everything on the menu is fantastic but our waitress "Mo" (Maureen) was more than happy to give us suggestions which were spot on.

The reviews on this place coaxed me and Lady Love to partake. Umm, I have no idea what the locals love about this place. Marge's thumps this place in the food department. No, more like pounds this place into the pavement. If the decor was actually tacky chic, then I might go for it. It's really just weird. I don't understand why they set up the place the way they did. Feng shui be damned, you'll be jammed in between haphazardly-placed tables if the place ever gets busy. Not to mention, they don't take cards, but they do have an ATM that is basically a makeshift credit card machine. No. I won't be doing this on purpose again.

This place is great! simple menu, really good food, cheap drinks, interesting and friendly people, and AMAZING decor. The identifiable themes are hockey, cacti, cowboys, and native american stylings. There is a doll caressing a disproportionately tiny horse, a jackalope head, and a fax machine next to the kitchen. The service was attentive, friendly, and down to earth. I've heard they serve food until 1 am, so if you're looking for something good later, this is the place. They have a great juke box, too. It's the kind of place where everyone is welcome and you can let your freak flag fly and not fear being judged. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Go now, you will not regret it!

This is one of my favorite places. Its a small neighborhood watering hole but the food is homemade and fantatic. The dirnks are strong, the locals are super friendly, and you can wear flip flops are fancy heels. The service is great, the people are friendly and i've never had anything bad. The chicken wings are simply to die for. Go here with your friends, have a great time laughing, drinking, eating great "bar" food (they have home cooked special meals everyday too!) and leave with a tab that is so little you will think you are ripping someone off! Its such a great place, you will def go back!

If you're in the mood for good food and great drinks this is your place! i have been going there for YEARS. the staff, the owner, the patrons, everyone is down to earth and friendly. honestly, it reminds me of Cheers, "where everybody knows your name, and their always glad you came..." I personally really enjoy that kind of bar! I have to agree with another review...the nacho's supreme is AMAZING! They have hand cut french fries and if you ask for them well done...they are served well done!

Wanted to try Sunrise Sunset Saloon had frequented it years ago, I took a friend and brought my restaurant.com certificate. The waitress told me that they were not accepting these anymore . I said but I paid for this. She looked at it and said they certainly had never had $25. ones. They stopped with them due to fraud? At any rate, Restaurant.com continues to sell these certificates on line for Sunrise Sunset Saloon. I wanted to alert you all to this. As for the food, its OK, but Because of the denial of my certificate and the way it was addressed, I won't be back

Great place to get a beer and hang out with your friends! They have darts, a pretty decent jukebox, and the TV is always on but never too loud. Did I mention they will serve your beer to you in a boot mug if you ask for it?! The cowboy/southwestern decor is impressive and the staff is always friendly and straightforward. They have outdoor seating in the summer. Their menu is pretty big and the burgers are tasty
